Events in the County

Camp Calhoun is a children's camp that is going to be held on August 7-8th.  One day is $40, and 2 days is $60.  Day one is at the Blackville Discovery Center, Day 2 is held at the Edgefield Discovery Center.  Lunch, goodie bags, and wonderful activities are included.  Contact the Discover Center for details and to register.

Barnwell Events

Annual Festival on the Round: Barnwell has a City Circle instead of a Town Square, so that is our reasoning behind the name. Event takes place the first weekend of May...
Includes the Hooked on Fishing, Not on Drugs – Fishing Rodeo at the Department of Natural Resources, sponsored also by the Barnwell County Chamber of Commerce.

Annual Christmas by Candlelight and Community Tree Lighting: Thursday after Thanksgiving in downtown Barnwell. At 6 pm, the community gathers for the Tree Lighting service including the Love Lights Dedication and then stores stay open for Holiday shoppers to enjoy refreshments, drawings for free items and discounts on purchases.

Annual Christmas Parade: First Saturday in December… 4 pm.
