Lemon Park Project

LEMON PARK IS NOW CLOSED DUE TO ANTICIPATED CONSTRUCTION.   

INVITATION TO BID

The City of Barnwell will accept sealed bids for the Lemon Park Project, which includes demolition of existing facilities and installation of multiple ball fields and associated infrastructure and parking.  Performance and labor/Materials (Payment) Bonds will be required at 100% from the awarded bidder.

Seal bids will be received by the Owner until 2:00 p.m. on August 13, 2008 (Note change in date!!!), at Barnwell City Hall at 124 Burr Street, Barnwell, S.C. 29812 at which time and place all bids will be publicly opened and read aloud.  No bids accepted after 2:00 p.m. (per the city hall clock).  A five percent (5%) bid security of the base bid and certificate of insurance are required with all bids.

A non-mandatory pre-bid conference will be held at 2:00 pm on July 30, 2008 at Barnwell City Hall, 124 Burr Street, Barnwell SC 29812.

Specifications will be available at the office of the engineer, Hass & Hilderbrand, Inc. for a non-refundable fee of $100.00.  You may call the engineers office at 803-649-1316 or come by at 133 Greenville Street, SW, Aiken, SC 29831.

The owner reserves the right to reject any and/or all bids and to waive all technicalities and formalities.  No bid may be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) days after opening.  Additional information may be obtained by contacting Tilden Hilderbrand, engineer, at 803-649-1316.
