Beginning June 1, 2020, City Hall will reopen our Main lobby to the public.  Following social distancing protocols, these procedures will be put in place:

  • Only 4 customers may be in the lobby at one time.
  • Blue markers will be placed on the floor indicating places customers may stand.
  • Chairs in the lobby will be available as well and are set apart as required.
  • On Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, the custodian will prepare the lobby for customers by sanitizing all surfaces form the door handles on the outside of the building to interior surfaces, counters, etc.
  • The lobby will then be wiped over by various staff members every few hours, depending on how many customers have come through and if there were any customers showing sign or symptoms of sickness.
  • On Tuesdays and Thursdays, the staff will prepare the lobby in a wipe down before opening at 9 am, and then continue every few hours as indicated above.
  • Staff are encouraged but not required to wear PPEs provided (gloves, masks, etc.)
  • There will be a glass partition installed over the counter in the lobby as a separation barrier between the clerks and the public.
  • Hand sanitizer will be available in the lobby for the public.
  • Signage will be developed and placed on the front doors as well as in the lobby for instructions.
  • Signage will also be placed on the outer doors to request customers who feel ill to use the drive thru window or call the office, before coming in the lobby.
  • Encourage the public to continue using the drop box and drive thru for city business.
  • Encourage the public to adhere to all recommended social distancing and other protective measures while conducting business in City Hall.
