Committees

The City Councilmen make up several committees that relate back to city departments.  For 2010, these committees include:

Water and Sewer- Councilmen Black and Atkinson.

Sanitation and Streets- Councilmen Black and Atkinson.

Recreation and Parks- Councilmen Pattillo and Walling.

Police- Councilman Duncan and Mayor Pro Tem Williams.

Fire- Councilmen Pattillo and Walling.

Finance and Salary- Mayor Pro Tem Williams and Councilman Duncan.

Building and Planning- Councilmen Black and Atkinson.

The Planning Commission consists of seven members and the Zoning Board of Appeals consists of five members all who serve without pay. The Zoning Ordinance consists of a Zoning Map defining 13 Zoning Districts and is available for review at City Hall. The Zoning Permit Application process is explained under Zoning.
