A Master Plan in the Making...

In 2006, the City of Barnwell and the Downtown Barnwell Development Association contracted with an architectural consulting firm, Community Design Solutions, to work with the community to plan for the future of downtown and to develop necessary economic, marketing, design and transportation strategies for the city. With the expert advice and public participation approach to this plan, the city and the designers worked together for over six months to complete the proposed master plan. There is also an implementation schedule that is assisting the city in completing the improvements and enhancements. Please take a look at our Special Projects Page for more information on the current projects.  The Director of Tourism and Community Development works for the betterment of Barnwell.
