Fuller Park
Dunbarton Boulevard

Fuller Park (9 acres) is another Barnwell park that is in the planning stages for a renovation. Plans are for Fuller Park include removing the baseball field (due to the complex at Lemon Park), creating a green space for large gatherings, picnics, etc., creating walking/biking trails, etc.

Land given by C.G. Fuller and named in his honor.

The Park offers the following current amenities:

  • 1 Dixie Boys regulation baseball field (also used for Adult slow pitch softball, and Youth flag football)
  • 2 outdoor basketball courts

Collins Park
Corner of Marlboro and Main Streets

Collins ParkCollins Park (1 acre) was created as a history park. Several plaques and markers are located in the park giving a brief synopsis of several historical figures from Barnwell’s past. This park is utilized for public events, private parties and weddings, due to the size and layout.

Presented to the city by the Robert O. Collins Family in 2000.

The park offers the following amenities:

  • 1 Lighted Gazebo with electricity available
  • 4 Large park swings
  • Garden and Grassy Area
  • 2 Picnic Tables

Jack Phillips Park
Main Street (Denmark Hwy 70)/Gallilee Road

Named for a prominent businessman of Barnwell and given by his family.

The park offers the following amenities:

  • 1 Picnic Table
  • 2 Benches

 

 

 Darnell ParkDarnell Park
Jackson and Hagood

Property and Gazebo given by Jimmy Darnell, a prominent businessman of Barnwell, in memory of Marian B. Darnell, 1992.

The park offers the following amenities:

  • 3 Picnic Tables
  • 3 Benches
  • 1 Small Gazebo

John Hall Field
Guinyard Butler Middle School

1 regulation baseball field used by Varsity baseball, Junior High football, and City recreation football. City owned/school district #45 maintained – lease agreement... school has priority.

Tennis Courts
Adjacent to High School

6 lighted tennis courts... school has priority on usage, but available for public use.
